  EXQUISITE BEAUTY • CRYSTALLINE CARBON

All of our diamonds and gemstones are ethically sourced. The diaomnd is the hardest known manerial made of native crystalline carbon, usually nearly colorless, and when transparent and free from flaws is highly valued as a precious stone. The diamond industry has established four criteria for evaluating the quality and value of precious stones, commonly known as the “Four Cs”: color, cut, clarity, and carat. However, to ensure identical across-the-board diamond grading and appraisal, the GIA created grading systems for each category. A diamond is 99.95 percent pure carbon, with 0.05 percent trace elements that are atoms that aren’t part of the diamond’s essential chemistry.

A natural diamond is formed under high pressure and high temperatures that exists about 100 miles below the earth’s surface. A mined diamond is a diamond that is naturally made in the earth over 1 to 3 billion years. Mined diamond's start their life as carbon dioxide and over time with extensive pressure and heat they will naturally modify to a solid stone. These stones are mined from the earth, cut, polished, and set into jewelry.

A lab grown diamond is created using extreme pressure and heat, but inside a machine rather than deep under the Earth. The technology behind lab diamonds has made crucial advances in recent years, allowing companies to grow higher quality diamonds more rapidly and at a lower cost.
